This role serves both internal stakeholders (implementation, support, sales) and external users (lab directors, LIS administrators, bench-level lab staff) across diverse laboratory specialties.
The ideal candidate understands clinical laboratory workflows, can translate complex LIS functionality into clear instructional content, and can read usage data closely enough to tell whether a feature isnt landing because users werent trained on it or because the feature itself has a usability problem. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with direct impact on product adoption, onboarding velocity, and user competency.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Training Content Development
Author and maintain end-user documentation: quick-start guides, workflow reference sheets, admin manuals, and release-aligned feature documentation
Produce instructional video content including screen-capture walkthroughs, narrated feature demos, and scenario-based training modules
Build and maintain a structured training library (LMS or SharePoint-based) organized by product area, user role, and lab specialty
Develop role-specific learning paths for lab administrators, result entry staff, billing coordinators, and IT personnel
Translate technical release notes and PBIs into user-consumable training updates aligned to monthly release cycles
Training Delivery
Facilitate live training sessions (remote and on-site) for new client implementations and go-live support
Conduct refresher training for existing clients during upgrades or workflow changes
Support internal enablement: onboard new Implementation Consultants, Support staff, and Sales Engineers on product functionality
Develop and administer post-training assessments to validate comprehension and surface gaps
Adoption Tracking & Analytics
Monitor feature-level usage and adoption trends in Pendo following each monthly release, against the training that was delivered for that release
Build recurring adoption reports that distinguish training gaps (feature was covered, usage still low) from product friction (feature was covered, users tried it, then dropped off), and route each to the right owner
Maintain a lightweight dashboard covering training completion, session attendance, and post-release feature usage
Flag features with persistently low adoption to Product leadership with supporting usage data, not anecdote
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Product Management to stay ahead of the roadmap, ensure training materials are ready at release, and share adoption data that informs prioritization
Work with Implementation and Support to identify recurring user confusion points and address them proactively through content
Coordinate with Sales and Marketing on product demo scripts and client-facing capability overviews
Provide structured feedback to Product on usability issues surfaced during training delivery and adoption analysis
Program Operations
Establish and enforce a content versioning and review cadence tied to monthly release cycles
Maintain consistency in voice, format, and visual standards across all training assets
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
3+ years of experience in a training, technical writing, or instructional content role within a healthcare IT, clinical software, or laboratory setting
Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality training documentation and video content for both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
