Payroll Specialist – San Diego, CA<br />Full‑time, in‑person position. The Payroll Specialist provides a wide variety of payroll‑related activities including processing payroll, handling state and local taxes, maintaining accurate employee records, and ensuring compliance with labor agreements. The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication and customer service skills, organizational proficiency, and a commitment to confidentiality.<br /><br />Essential Functions<br /><br />Accurately track, calculate, and submit all monthly union reports, rosters, and benefit contributions to ensure full compliance with active labor agreements.<br /><br />Review and audit new‑hire and departure notifications from Spectrum to ensure 100% accuracy of data entered in the payroll system.
