Job Description<br /><br />This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are unencumbered and will need your contribution to make it a world class engineering center with the focus on excellence.<br /><br />We are seeking hands-on Member of Technical Staff Engineers that share our passion and excitement of operating distributed systems at hyper scale using cloud native best practices. You will have part in the disruption of the health care industry and will help deliver better patient care.<br /><br />You'll be responsible and lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support health care platform, applications, and our end users. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers.<br /><br />Responsibilities<br /><br />Minimum Qualifications<br /><br />BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent<br /><br />2+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems<br /><br />Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices<br /><br />Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java, Python, or similar OO languages<br /><br />Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, Dropwizard, Spring, etc.<br /><br />Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)<br /><br />Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments<br /><br />Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects<br /><br />As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.<br /><br />11 paid holidays<br /><br />Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year.
