Salary commensurate with experience</b><br /><h3>Overview</h3><br /><p>Location: Albany, NY</p><br /><p>Salary: $115,000 - $138,000</p><br /><p>We are seeking an ETL Developer/Data Warehouse Architect who will support our NYS client with an ongoing data analytics initiative. This role will be responsible for assisting with the build-out of the current environment for both infrastructure and tools as they relate to data analytics and the necessary supporting technologies, such as data warehousing, business intelligence, statistical analysis, and data exchanges with external agencies/entities.</p><br /><h3>Duties</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Review and analyze existing data analytics ETL processes as well as external sources in order to design and architect a system communicating this information to staff as necessary</li><br /><li>Assist with the implementation of data analytics architecture design to accept structured and unstructured datasets as they are acquired through the Division</li><br /><li>Assist with the implementation and migration of ETL environments, including fact and dimensional models as defined through user story business requirements</li><br /><li>Assist in Tableau/Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (“OBIEE”) dashboard design as defined by user story business requirements</li><br /><li>Assist with ETL processes of newly identified/acquired data into secure data analytics environment</li><br /><li>Provide other data analytics development services as requested</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Mandatory Qualifications</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Bachelor of science degree or higher in computer science or related information technology field</li><br /><li>4+ years of experience developing and maintaining a data interchange system interfacing with a wide array of varying data sets including flat file, direct database connection, and eXtensible Markup Language transactions</li><br /><li>4+ years of experience working with ETL tools (e.g., Qlik and Informatica)</li><br /><li>4+ years of experience performing data modeling</li><br /><li>4+ years of experience developing a data analytics ETL environment to support data analytics</li><br /><li>4+ years of experience coding in Structured Query Language (“SQL”)</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Desirable Qualifications</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Experience scripting in Python;</li><br /><li>Experience in Tableau Server Administration</li><br /><li>Experience working with customers in data validation, troubleshooting, or collecting business requirements</li><br /><li>Two or more satisfactorily completed statistics courses from an accredited college or 1+ year of professional experience using statistics</li><br /><li>Experience performing database development using SQL or Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (“PL/SQL”)</li><br /><li>Experience developing a data analytics ETL environment to support Tableau visualizations</li><br /><li>Experience using ETL techniques to support a data analytics program for a government entity</li><br /></ul><br /><p>Cloud and Things complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding recruitment and hiring.
