The Safety Specialist will play a crucial role in cultivating an EH&S environment characterized by collaboration and active participation in our safety standards among all employees. To learn more about DEPCOM Power, visit www.depcompower.com.<br /><br />This role will be located at a construction site in London, OH.<br />What You Will Do<br /><br />Assist PSM with facilitating Safety & Health training for employees, contractors, etc., as required and needed.<br /><br />Support the planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT).<br /><br />Be knowledgeable and current on all internal Koch/DEPCOM EHS Standards and relevant state and federal environmental law.<br /><br />Aid incident investigations, root cause analysis, and determining corrective actions to prevent incident recurrence and makes recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and actions.<br /><br />Foster an EHS environment of collaboration and active participation with all employees.<br /><br />Conduct walk-through inspections of field job sites to identify and eliminate hazardous conditions and unsafe acts performed by employees.<br /><br />Assist with managing site risks including facilitating risk assessments, job safety analyses, JHA reviews and PPE assessments.<br /><br />Provide appropriate care and support for onsite injuries within standard of care.<br /><br />Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)<br /><br />Minimum of 2 years of experience on a project in a construction safety role as a titled safety professional<br /><br />Completion of OSHA 510 training course<br /><br />OSHA 30 construction<br /><br />First aid and AED certification<br /><br />What Will Put You Ahead<br /><br />Prior safety experience working in solar PV or BESS construction sites<br /><br />Bachelor's degree in safety (EH&S)<br /><br />Completion of OSHA 500 training course<br /><br />CHST certification<br /><br />At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
