As the<b>Deli Specialist </b>, you willprovidedeli department excellence, ensuring product freshness, merchandising accuracy, and compliance with food safety standards. This role embodies passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork, delivering an exceptional guest experience whilemaintainingoperational integrity. You willsupportdeli inventory accuracy,ensurerotation standards, and presentation, while supporting guest engagement and department readiness for promotions and seasonal events. </p> <h3>What You'll Do: </h3> <ul> <li>Ensure alldeliproducts meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating. </li> <li>Execute planograms andmaintainaccurateproduct placement and signage. </li> <li>Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of deli items. </li> <li>Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures. </li> <li>Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events. </li> <li>Execute planograms andmaintainaccurateproduct placement and signage. </li> <li>Follow all TFM policies, food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures. </li> <li>Engage guests with a friendly, helpfulapproach whenon the sales floor. </li> </ul> <h3>Availability: </h3> <p>This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays. </p> <h3>Qualifications: </h3> <p><b>At a minimum, what you’ll need: </b> </p> <ul> <li>1+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations. </li> <li>Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace. </li> <li>Must be at least 18 years of age. </li> </ul> <p><b>Preferred Qualifications: </b> </p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li> <li>Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience. </li> <li>Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools. </li> </ul> <p><b>Physical and Work Conditions: </b> </p> <ul> <li>Repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds by oneself, and exposure to extreme temperatures. </li> <li>Ability to use tools and equipment: knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment. </li> <li>Required to spend long periods of time on their feet and stand or walk without a break (for up to 4 hours or as required by law). </li> <li>Required to wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment. </li> </ul> <h3>We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer: </h3> <p>The Fresh Market is a proud, equal-opportunity employer that is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. </p> <p>Reasonable Accommodation: Consistent with applicable laws, The Fresh Market will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified applicants and team members, unless doing so would result in an undue hardship to The Fresh Market.
