<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><div><p><br /></p><p><strong>Job Overview:</strong></p><p>D7 Mechanical LTD is seeking highly skilled and experienced Red Seal Millwrights with strong welding capabilities with pulp and paper mill experience to join our project team.</p><p>This role will involve maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery across a variety of sectors. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical systems, a strong understanding of welding techniques, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Maintenance &amp; Repairs:</strong> Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment, conveyor systems, crushers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other industrial machinery in coal mining operations, sawmills, and auto plants.</li><li><strong>Welding &amp; Fabrication:</strong> Perform welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) for repairs and fabrication of parts, structures, and equipment as needed. Conduct welding inspections to ensure high-quality, safe work.</li><li><strong>Preventative Maintenance:</strong> Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery and equipment.</li><li><strong>Installation &amp; Commissioning:</strong> Assist with the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment in mining, sawmill, and automotive production lines.</li><li><strong>Safety &amp; Compliance:</strong> Follow all safety protocols and work in compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring that work areas are always safe and clean.</li><li><strong>Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and management to ensure efficient operations and quick resolution of mechanical issues.</li><li><strong>Problem Solving:</strong> Apply strong troubleshooting skills to identify mechanical failures and implement effective solutions.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Completion of a Red Seal Millwright progam.</li><li>Own personal tools to complete jobs at hand.</li><li>Previous experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in coal mining, sawmill, and/or automotive plant environments.</li><li>Strong welding experience, particularly in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, with the ability to work with a variety of materials (steel, stainless steel, etc.).</li><li>Deep understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.</li><li>Valid driver’s license, Millwright Certification, or equivalent trade qualification required.</li><li>Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces, high elevations, and extreme temperatures. Must be capable of lifting heavy parts and materials as needed.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail and precision.</li><li>Must adhere to all safety protocols and always demonstrate a commitment to a safe working environment.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working in saw and paper mills.</li><li>Familiarity with automation and robotic systems.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.</li><li>Experience in the installation and commissioning of heavy machinery.</li></ul><p><br /></p></div></div></div>
