Job Description

About Agnipath Scheme
The Agnipath Scheme is a new recruitment procedure for the Armed Forces. Under this scheme, selected candidates called 'Agniveers' will serve for a period of 4 years. After completion of 4 years, up to 25% of Agniveers may be selected for regular cadre based on their performance and organizational requirements.

Selection Process
The selection process for Agniveer (Musician) consists of the following stages:
- Online Registration
- Phase I - Online Test: Written examination consisting of objective-type questions
- Phase II - Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
- 1.6 km run to be completed within 6 minutes 30 seconds
- 10 Push-ups
- 10 Sit-ups
- 20 Squats
- Phase III - Musical Ability & Performance Test: Assessment of musical skills and performance on the chosen instrument
- Phase IV - Medical Examination: Comprehensive medical examination as per IAF standards
- Phase V - Enrollment: Final selection and enrollment of qualified candidates

Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality:
Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit:
Candidates born between July 1, 2003, and June 30, 2007, (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualifications:
- Candidate must have passed Class 10 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University.
- Additionally, the candidate should have basic knowledge and practical skills in the musical instrument they are applying for.
Musical Abilities:
- Proficiency in playing the chosen musical instrument
- Knowledge of basic music theory
- Ability to read and interpret musical notations
- Understanding of scales, chords, and rhythm patterns
- Group performance capability
Physical Standards:
- Height: Minimum 152.5 cms
- Weight: As per height and age as per IAF Medical Standards
- Chest: Minimum 77 cms with expansion of 5 cms
- Vision: 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye
Medical Standards:
Candidates must be medically fit as per Indian Air Force medical standards. They will undergo a detailed medical examination by Air Force Medical authorities. Key requirements include:
- No history of major medical conditions
- No color blindness
- Normal hearing
- No major dental abnormalities
- No physical deformities that could interfere with musical performance
