The Computer Based Test will consist of:
- Total Questions: 120 Multiple Choice Questions
- Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
- Sections:
- Subject Knowledge (Electrical Engineering) - 80 questions
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs - 15 questions
- Reasoning & Mental Ability - 10 questions
- General English - 5 questions
- Computer Knowledge - 10 questions
- Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answer, -0.25 for incorrect answer

Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Full-time Bachelor of Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized university/institute with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates)
- AMIE in Electrical Engineering
- Any other equivalent qualification recognized by AICTE
Age Limit:
Candidates must be between 18 to 37 years as of January 1, 2024.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years
- BC candidates: 3 years
- PwD candidates: 10 years
- Ex-servicemen: Length of service in armed forces + 3 years
- Widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands: Up to 40 years
Physical Fitness:
Candidates should be physically fit to perform duties associated with the post. Selected candidates will have to undergo a medical examination by the Medical Board of PSPCL.
Knowledge of Punjabi:
Candidates should have passed Punjabi up to Matriculation standard or its equivalent. Candidates who do not possess this qualification shall have to acquire this qualification within six months of their joining.
Nationality:
Candidates must be a citizen of India.
