The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has announced recruitment for 238 Assistant Training Officer (ATO) positions for various Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across Odisha. This recruitment aims to strengthen the technical training faculty in ITIs and improve the quality of vocational education in the state.

Job Responsibilities
- Providing practical and theoretical training to ITI trainees in the respective trade
- Developing lesson plans and training materials
- Conducting practical workshops and demonstrations
- Evaluating trainees' performance through tests and assessments
- Maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring safety during training
- Coordinating with industries for industrial visits and on-the-job training
- Updating knowledge and skills as per industry requirements
- Maintaining records of trainees' attendance and progress
- Participating in curriculum development and review
- Any other duties assigned by the Principal/Training Officer
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed in Level 6 of the Pay Matrix with a monthly salary ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹112,400 plus applicable allowances as per government norms.
Selection Process
The selection process will consist of the following stages:
- Preliminary Examination (200 marks): Multiple choice questions on General Awareness, Reasoning, Mathematics, English, and Computer Knowledge.
- Main Written Examination (300 marks): Technical knowledge related to the respective trade.
- Skill Test/Practical Test (100 marks): Hands-on test to assess practical skills in the respective trade.

Important Notice
Candidates must score at least 33% marks in each stage of the examination to qualify for the next stage. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined scores of Main Written Examination and Skill Test.

- Diploma or Degree in relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University/Institution
- OR
- National Trade Certificate (NTC)/National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade with 3 years of practical/teaching experience
