Job Description

National Health Mission, Meghalaya invites applications for Staff Nurse and Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) positions in various health facilities across the state. This recruitment aims to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve maternal and child health services in rural and urban areas of Meghalaya.

  • Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality nursing care to patients
  • Assist doctors in medical procedures and treatments
  • Monitor patient vital signs and health status
  • Administer medications as prescribed
  • Maintain patient records and documentation
  • Educate patients and families about health care
  • Participate in community health programs
  • Support maternal and child health initiatives

Eligibility

Educational Qualifications:

  • Staff Nurse: B.Sc. Nursing/GNM from recognized institution
  • ANM: ANM certificate course from recognized institution
  • Registration with State Nursing Council mandatory
  • Valid nursing license to practice

Age Limit:

  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 35 years for general candidates
  • Age relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years)
  • Local candidates may get additional relaxation

Experience Requirements:

  • Fresh graduates eligible for entry-level positions
  • 1-2 years experience preferred for specialized roles
  • Community health experience advantageous
  • Rural posting experience beneficial
