You will play an essential role in ensuring patients receive the right equipment on time while maintaining excellent customer service and a high level of professionalism.<br /><br />Wage: Competitive and negotiable, based on experience</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Patient Interaction &amp; Front Desk Support:</strong><br />Greet and assist patients in a friendly, professional manner, both in person and over the phone. Address patient inquiries regarding product availability, insurance coverage, and order status.</p></li><li><p><strong>Patient Registration &amp; Information Collection:</strong><br />Collect and verify required patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and prescription information to ensure compliance with all Medicare/Medicaid requirements.</p></li><li><p><strong>Medicare/Medicaid Verification &amp; Authorization:</strong><br />Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility through Medicare/Medicaid portals. Assist with obtaining prior authorizations as needed to ensure patient coverage for durable medical equipment.</p></li><li><p><strong>Order Processing &amp; Coordination:</strong><br />Assist patients in selecting appropriate medical equipment, process orders, and coordinate delivery schedules. Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.</p></li><li><p><strong>Insurance &amp; Billing Support:</strong><br />Work closely with the billing department to ensure accurate submission of claims, following up on any rejected or unpaid claims. Ensure all billing information aligns with Medicare/Medicaid regulations.</p></li><li><p><strong>Patient Education:</strong><br />Provide clear instructions to patients on the proper use and care of their medical equipment. Address any concerns regarding warranties, returns, or troubleshooting of equipment.</p></li><li><p><strong>Problem Resolution:</strong><br />Proactively address any patient concerns or issues regarding products, billing, insurance, or service delivery, and escalate matters to the appropriate department if necessary.</p></li><li><p><strong>Documentation &amp; Record Keeping:</strong><br />Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, ensuring all information is in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. Document all interactions and updates in the patient management system.</p></li><li><p><strong>Collaboration with Internal Teams:</strong><br />Collaborate with sales, billing, and delivery teams to ensure smooth communication and fulfillment of patient needs.</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working with <strong>Medicare/Medicaid</strong> policies, billing procedures, and insurance verification is strongly preferred.</li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.</li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Knowledge &amp; Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of <strong>Medicare/Medicaid</strong> billing and coverage policies, specifically related to Durable Medical Equipment (DME).</li><li>Familiarity with DME products, healthcare regulations, and compliance standards.</li><li>Ability to manage patient inquiries efficiently and with a high level of empathy and professionalism.</li><li>Proficient in using <strong>office software</strong> (Microsoft Office Suite) and <strong>Electronic Health Records (EHR)</strong> systems.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex healthcare processes to patients.</li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Customer Service Focus:</strong></p><ul><li>A patient-centered approach with a strong ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism.</li><li>Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.</li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Problem-Solving Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Capable of resolving patient issues and concerns quickly and effectively while maintaining a positive experience.</li></ul></li></ul></div></div>
