<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><div>We are currently seeking a Logistics Manager to be based out of our Burnaby location! This is a full-time permanent position. You will be full-time onsite for a few months and may transition into a hybrid office role (3 days in office, 2 days WFH). </div><div></div><div><strong>Compensation</strong></div><ul><li>$90k to $110k base salary</li><li>4% RRSP match</li><li>100% employer paid health benefits</li><li>Monthly profit-sharing payout </li><li>2 to 3 weeks of vacation </li></ul><div></div><div><strong>Responsibilities</strong></div><ul><li>Develop the logistics workflow for moving materials from remote demolition and cleanup sites, ensuring reduced costs and fewer delays.</li><li>Design and deploy a database for the Logistics Management System.</li><li>Produce additional procedures and compliance documents to support a highstandard logistics operation.</li><li>Carry out yearly performance evaluations for all team members and provides consistent, ongoing feedback.</li><li>Offer guidance and support to staff involved in rail car coordination, trucking operations, and barge transportation.</li><li>Oversee essential weekly communication with operations leadership and clearly communicate updates to the logistics support team.</li><li>Lead or participate in regional planning discussions with metal processing operations managers.</li><li>Collaborate with Information Services leadership to introduce new technologies that enhance logistics functions.</li><li>Deliver expert insights and analysis for a variety of projects and organizational initiatives.</li></ul><div></div><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><ul><li>5+ years’ experience in each mode of transportation management; road, rail and ocean freight.</li><li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, or transportation.</li><li>Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles.</li><li>Ability to pass background check </li><li>Understanding of Transport limitations (weight and/or dimensions.)</li><li>Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports.</li><li>Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.</li><li>Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software.</li><li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.</li></ul><div><br /></div><div><br /></div></div></div>
