You will ensure that every component, from custom made-to-spec parts to basic shop supplies - is accounted for, organized, and ready for assembly. This is a permanent, hourly role starting with morning shifts (MondayFriday), offering a high-impact opportunity to grow alongside the company and transition into a full-time position as our production volume accelerates.</p><p><br />JOB TITLE: Inventory Assistant</p><p><br />Wage: $21-25/hr</p><p><br />Structure:</p><ul><li>In-Office</li><li>Location: Kitchener</li><li>Part-time AM with opportunity to move to Full-Time after a few months</li><li>20-30 hours/week</li></ul><p><br />Job Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Inventory Management:<ul><li>Performing regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy</li><li>Maintain accurate inventory location records</li><li>Work with Purchasing to transact parts in and out of inventory</li><li>Receiving POs into inventory</li><li>Processing ECNs</li><li>Managing inventory obsoletion and assist in selling off legacy components</li><li>Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the shop floor</li></ul></li><li>Logistics Support:<br /><ul><li>Track and monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and provide daily updates on ETAs for critical components</li><li>Shipping packages domestically and internationally, primarily to the US</li><li>Customs compliance (USMCA, Customs Invoices, HS/HTS Codes, etc.)</li><li>Booking and coordinating LTL shipments</li><li><br /></li></ul></li><li>Purchasing Support:<ul><li>Placing orders for office, break room, and shop supplies</li><li>Maintaining vendor documentation, including lead times, pricing records, and quality certifications</li><li>Manual data entry for incoming invoices to ensure financial accuracy</li><li>Data collection and analysis to identify inventory trends and forecast shortages</li><li>Implementing and maintaining Min/Max Stock to trigger timely re-orders</li></ul></li><li>General: <ul><li>Administrative tasks around the office as required</li><li>Assist Production with assembly kitting</li><li>Ability to work mornings Monday-Friday</li></ul></li></ul><p><br />Required Skills/Experience:</p><ul><li>Bachelors Degree or College Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field </li><li>12 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a fast-paced administrative role (Internship experience in a hardware environment is a major plus)</li><li>High technical <span>aptitude/proficient</span> ability to navigate various platforms and applications</li><li>Experience with Google Suite, especially Google Sheets/Excel</li><li>Knowledge of Inventory, Bill of Materials and ECNs</li><li>Highly attentive to detail</li><li>Excellent written communication skills</li><li>Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs</li><li>Unmatched organizational skills</li><li>Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities</li></ul><p><br />Nice to Haves:</p><ul><li>Familiarity with mechanical and electrical parts</li><li>Prior experience in inventory management</li><li>Knowledge of HS/HTS codes and USMCA requirements</li></ul><p><br />Why work for us?</p><ul><li>Were one of Canadas fastest growing companies &amp; venture-backed by leaders in the solar industry</li><li>Welcoming, inclusive and collaborative team environment</li><li><span>Healthcare/Lifestyle</span> Spending Benefits<br /><br /></li><li>Monthly social events such as Foosball and other game tournaments, Jackbox games, dinners &amp; lunches, trivia, and more!<br /><br /></li><li>Exciting Startup with lots of opportunities to make an impact</li></ul><p><br /><em>Swap Robotics is an equal opportunity employer.
