To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.<br /><br />Overview<br />An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Major Trauma Rehabilitation Coordinator to join the Major Trauma Service based at the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh. We are seeking to appoint a passionate, person‑centred and highly motivated clinician to lead the coordination of the rehabilitation pathways for all patients admitted under the Major Trauma Service. The Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh is one of four Major Trauma Centres in Scotland and provides all aspects of trauma care, from the point of injury to rehabilitation and into the community.<br /><br />Key Responsibilities<br /><br />Work with the multidisciplinary team ensuring equity and consistency in rehab provision for all major trauma patients admitted to the major trauma centre, including Critical Care, the Department of Clinical Neurosciences and the dedicated Major Trauma Ward.<br /><br />Develop early written rehabilitation plans for Major Trauma patients from the point of admission to discharge from the service.<br /><br />Identify and monitor patient‑centred rehabilitation goals and ensure achievement of the Scottish Trauma Network key performance indicators.<br /><br />Lead the repatriation of Major Trauma patients to hospitals closer to their home, linking in with other coordinators across Scotland and beyond to ensure equity of service delivery and development.<br /><br />Provide senior clinical expertise, offering advice and support to patients, their carers and other health care professionals.<br /><br />Qualifications and Experience<br /><br />Senior clinical experience working as an Allied Health Professional (AHP) within an acute or rehab speciality.<br /><br />Ability to provide clinical leadership and support across multidisciplinary teams.<br /><br />Demonstrated experience in developing rehabilitation plans and monitoring outcomes.<br /><br />Additional Requirements<br /><br />PVG Scheme membership/record is required. If not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult) an application to Disclosure Scotland is mandatory before beginning in post.<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr</p>
