Mechanical Designer/Senior Designer

Our teams thrive in a high-paced, ever-changing environment where passion, excellence, and innovation drive success <br /><br /><strong>Mechanical Designer Job Description:</strong> <br /><br />There is presently a need for highly-motivated Mechanical Designers with the ability to produce design deliverables from design sketches, layouts and/or concepts to support manufacture, assembly and test. We are looking for candidates with the desire to develop skills through on-the-job experience and continued education to advance in the design profession. <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b> <br /><br /><strong>Required:</strong> <br /><ul><br /><li>High school diploma/GED or Vocational High School diploma</li><br /><li> 6+ years of design experience</li><br /><li>Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.drawings </li><br /><li>Demonstrated proficiency in drafting (portfolio) with Computer Aided Design (CAD) is required (NX preferred)</li><br /></ul><strong>Preferred:</strong> <ul><br /><li>Two year Technical School/College</li><br /><li>Experience with CATIA and/or NX</li><br /><li>Experience in Design for Six Sigma, Lean Design/Manufacturing</li><br /></ul><b>Skills</b> <ul><br /><li>Must be willing to work in a collaborative and team environment. </li><br /><li>Must possess strong attention to detail and problem solving skills. </li><br /><li>Must possess strong computer skills and excellent interpersonal skills.</li><br /><li>Knowledge of Microsoft products </li><br /><li>Ability to perform design related math functions </li><br /><li>Ability to read and interpret written instructions and drawings (blueprints)</li><br /><li>Firm understanding of Design Standards, Manufacturing Processes and Military Specifications including GD&amp;T</li><br /></ul>
