<p>Department : Information Technology, Type : Full Time<br /><br />Job Title : FPGA Developer / Electrical Engineer<br /><br />Location : Rochester Job Type: Full-Time<br /><br />Salary Range : $110,000 - $130,000<br /><br />Work Schedule : 9/80 Schedule (80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off)<br /><br />Job Overview<br />We are hiring an experienced FPGA Developer / Electrical Engineer for a leading defense and communications technology program supporting advanced military communication systems. The selected candidate will work within a cross-functional engineering team focused on FPGA firmware design, verification, and testing for modem and signal-processing applications. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong RTL development and FPGA verification experience in high-reliability embedded systems environments.<br /><br />Key Responsibilities<br /><br />Design, develop, verify, and test FPGA firmware for communication and signal-processing systems<br /><br />Analyze system requirements and create FPGA development specifications and plans<br /><br />Develop FPGA verification and test methodologies<br /><br />Code firmware designs using VHDL<br /><br />Develop and execute test benches using SystemVerilog<br /><br />Perform FPGA integration and validation on hardware platforms<br /><br />Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle<br /><br />Required Qualifications<br /><br />Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field<br /><br />7+ years of relevant FPGA/ASIC development experience<br /><br />Experience with FPGA/ASIC embedded system solutions<br /><br />Strong hands-on experience with: VHDL or Verilog development, SystemVerilog verification methodologies, FPGA integration and hardware bring-up<br /><br />Experience with FPGA vendor implementation tools such as: Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Microchip Libero<br /><br />Experience working in Linux-based development environments<br /><br />Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance<br /><br />Preferred Background<br /><br />Experience in defense, aerospace, military communications, or high-reliability embedded systems environments<br /><br />Exposure to modem, DSP, or radio communication systems is highly preferred<br /><br />If you have qualified candidates available, please share updated resumes along with contact details and work authorization status.<br /><br />GCG is one of world’s leading providers of business transformation solutions related to supply chain and technology solutions for order fulfillment and marketing execution.
