<p>Job Overview<br />Position: Payroll Specialist in the Payroll Department. Responsible for accurately processing pay for employees in compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations. Reports to the Payroll Supervisor.<br /><br />Responsibilities<br /><br />Process biweekly or semimonthly payroll for all employees in accordance with company policies and federal/state regulations.<br /><br />Collect and verify timekeeping information from employees.<br /><br />Enter payroll data accurately and on time.<br /><br />Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll‑related inquiries.<br /><br />Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with internal policies and legal regulations.<br /><br />Support with garnishments, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and other payroll‑related changes.<br /><br />Generate standard payroll reports as needed.<br /><br />Collaborate with Human Resources, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure data integrity and consistency.<br /><br />Assist with year‑end processing, including W‑2s and other required forms.<br /><br />Qualifications and Competencies<br /><br />Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.<br /><br />Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br /><br />Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative approach.<br /><br />Ability to perform detailed work accurately, confidentially, and promptly.<br /><br />Preferred Qualifications<br /><br />Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field.<br /><br />Two (2) years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi‑state or complex payroll environment.<br /><br />Familiarity with Workday payroll software.<br /><br />Experience in a standard office environment using telephones, computers, and other equipment.<br /><br />Availability for extended hours during payroll deadlines or year‑end processes.<br /><br />Ability to travel occasionally.<br /><br />Physical Requirements<br /><br />Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.<br /><br />Eligibility<br />Applicants must have a clear driving record, a 10‑year criminal history check, a drug screen as required, proof of high school or GED completion, and be at least 18 years old.<br /><br />Compensation and Benefits<br />Starting rate: $40,000.00–$45,000.00 Annual Salary (based on locale and experience).
