This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a collaborative, mission-driven organization supporting leaders in the maritime, logistics, terminals, and transportation industries. </p><p>In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional employee support across multiple business units. </p><p>At TOTE Resources, we are committed to our core values of Safety, Operational Excellence, Customer Experience, and Colleague Experience. </p><p>If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in delivering high-quality, detail-driven work, we encourage you to apply. </p><h5>What You'll Do </h5><ul> <li>Process accurate and timely multi-state payroll </li><li>Maintain payroll records, deductions, garnishments, and tax documentation </li><li>Audit and review employee timesheets for accuracy </li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations </li><li>Partner closely with HR, Accounting, and operational teams </li><li>Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and year-end processing </li><li>Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and urgency </li><li>Drive process improvements and system enhancements </li><li>Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee data </li></ul> <h5>What We're Looking For </h5><h5>Required Qualifications </h5><ul> <li>3+ years of payroll processing experience </li><li>High School diploma or equivalent </li><li>Strong knowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirements </li><li>Experience with HRIS and payroll systems </li><li>Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills </li><li>Strong communication and customer service abilities </li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines </li></ul> <h5>Preferred Qualifications </h5><ul> <li>Experience with ADP or Concur </li><li>Multi-state or multi-entity payroll experience </li><li>Experience working with union and non-union labor </li></ul> <h5>Compensation &amp; Benefits </h5><h5>Compensation </h5><p>The salary range is $50,000 to $65,000 annually, with an expected target salary of $60,000 to $62,000 per year.
