Our team is tight‑knit, supportive, and genuinely fun to work with — people regularly say this is the best culture they’ve ever experienced in law (or anywhere, really!).<br />We’re searching for a Billing Specialist to own the full billing, trust accounting, and collections process in our Oakland office. This is a true “wear multiple hats” role where your work directly supports our attorneys and keeps everything running smoothly.<br />What you’ll do: Review and polish time entries daily (working directly with attorneys)<br />Generate, edit, and finalize weekly pre‑bills and invoices in Clio Manage<br />Handle trust accounting, retainer applications, and payment processing (LawPay)<br />Manage A/R, follow up on overdue invoices, and prepare reports in QuickBooks<br />Reconcile everything month‑end and assist with client billing inquiries<br />Be the go‑to person to keep our billing clean, compliant, and on time<br />What you bring: 3–5 years of billing, bookkeeping, or accounting experience (law firm is great, but NOT required — we’re very open to sharp candidates from professional services, tech, or any detail‑heavy industry)<br />Strong skills (or quick learner) in Clio Manage, QuickBooks Online, and LawPay — or very similar platforms<br />Comfort with trust accounting rules is a plus (we’ll train the right person on CA specifics)<br />Rock‑solid organization, communication, and follow‑through<br />A proactive, no‑ego attitude and a sense of humor<br />We offer: $38–$46 per hour (full‑time, onsite in Oakland with some flexibility after onboarding)<br />Full health, dental, and vision coverage<br />401(k) with employer match<br />Onsite gym + other great perks<br />Generous PTO and paid holidays<br />An actual amazing culture — collaborative, zero drama, and people who truly care about each other and the work we do<br />If you’re someone who gets a kick out of making complex billing look easy, loves being part of a winning team, and wants to work somewhere that values you as a whole person… let’s talk!<br />DM me or send your resume to [email protected] — happy to answer any questions.
