This includes assisting with concept development, selections, procurement, and installations. The role also involves managing smaller‑scale independent projects while maintaining brand standards and design quality.<br /><br />Your Responsibilities on the Team<br /><br />Assist Interior designers on larger design projects.<br /><br />Lead the project life cycle of smaller independent model home projects including furniture presentation, purchasing, and specification package development (in coordination with the Merchandising Manager).<br /><br />Attend design presentation meetings, frame walks and final model walks as required.<br /><br />Track furniture orders for Interior Designers and independent projects as assigned.<br /><br />Communicate with installation partners to ensure successful installs and manage follow up items as needed.<br /><br />Assist Merchandising Manager and Director on special design projects as necessary.<br /><br />Collect project costs and assist with preparation of final budgets for submittal to Merchandising Manager.<br /><br />Attend model installations as required.<br /><br />Stay abreast of current design trends and practices.<br /><br />Your Toolbox<br /><br />Bachelor of Arts degree preferred.<br /><br />2-4 years of experience in Interior Design required.<br /><br />Proficient in CAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) on Macintosh platform.<br /><br />Basic understanding of California Building and ADA codes preferred.<br /><br />Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.<br /><br />Additional Requirements<br /><br />Excellent work ethic, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.<br /><br />Copes well under pressure and can accept constructive feedback.<br /><br />California Motor Vehicle License – unrestricted. Moderate regional travel (including overnight trips and flights) required.<br /><br />Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements<br />Regular, in‑person attendance at company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. The job may require occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.<br /><br />This description outlines the basic responsibilities and requirements for the position noted.
