<p>Overview The Mechanical Senior Designer oversees multiple projects simultaneously involving mechanical components for natural gas, hydrocarbon and industrial projects. Primary responsibilities include assigning and monitoring design activities, creating conceptual designs during project development, producing two-dimensional and three-dimensional construction drawings including plans, sections, elevations, details, bills of material and isometrics from models and sketches under the direction of an engineer.<br />This position is seen as the expert on technical matters, assists the engineering discipline, leads and directs designers and drafters as needed to keep projects on task and on schedule. Coordinate with other managers, engineers and designers in completing project assignments. This position is an office based role that is located in Derwent, Ohio.<br />Responsibilities Supervising and managing team members, planning utilization, designating projects to available designers<br />Assign, monitor and check design activity based on project estimated hours and schedule<br />Assisting with engineering FEED studies<br />Checking the work and assisting in the training of less experienced drafting and design personnel<br />Ensuring all drawings are in accordance with Bi-Con Engineering and client specifications and standards<br />Exercise resourcefulness and ingenuity to resolve complex technical issues<br />Review and approve timecards<br />Assist in the interview process for new hires<br />Qualifications Associate’s degree or certificate in CAD, Drafting or Design from an accredited vocational school, college or university.<br />10+ years of experience using AutoCAD and CADWorx software for Oil and Gas Mechanical design<br />Knowledge of Mechanical materials and equipment commonly used in Oil and Gas facilities<br />Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&amp;IDs,schematics, and specifications<br />Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail<br />Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<br />Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently<br />Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx, Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word<br />Other:<br />Leica CloudWorx experience<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr</p>
