<p>Experienced Fire Sprinkler System Designer<br />Why You’ll Love This Role: You know the difference between a good design and a code-compliant one that actually holds up in the field. Patriot is looking for a mid-level Fire Sprinkler System Designer who brings that standard to every project. From layouts and hydraulic calculations to permit packages and AHJ coordination, you’ll be a key player on a fast-moving team protecting communities across the Pacific Northwest.<br /><br />What You’ll Do:<br /><br />Design code-compliant fire sprinkler systems that align with project and company standards<br /><br />Prepare layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, stock lists, permit/shop drawings, and submittal packages<br /><br />Coordinate sprinkler design with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems<br /><br />Apply NFPA standards and local jurisdictional requirements to support accurate, approvable designs<br /><br />Support project execution by addressing RFIs, revisions, field issues, permitting, and documentation needs<br /><br />Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, fabrication teams, customers, and design partners to keep projects on schedule and aligned with quality standards<br /><br />What We’re Looking For:<br /><br />4+ years of experience in fire sprinkler system design or fire protection drafting including working knowledge of sprinkler design principles, hydraulic calculations, and construction documentation<br /><br />Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, including NFPA 13, 14, 20, and related fire protection requirements<br /><br />3+ years of exposure to reading construction or architectural drawings<br /><br />3+ years of experience with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Revit, and Navisworks<br /><br />Preference for:<br /><br />Excellent communication skills: internally, externally, verbal, and written<br /><br />Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving<br /><br />Eagerness to learn and grow within the fire protection industry<br /><br />Commitment to safety and excellence in all aspects of work<br /><br />Tech/Trade School, Community College, or University graduate<br /><br />Proficiency in MS Office and Google Docs<br /><br />A drug test and background check will be conducted only after a conditional job offer is made.
