<div><h2>BSA/AML Analyst</h2><p>South Central Bank, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of BSA/AML Analyst to be stationed at one of our South Central Bank locations.</p><p>The position of BSA/AML Analyst I-III supports the administration of the Bank's program of compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations, and Customer Identification Program (CIP) requirements. The role is responsible for alert monitoring, investigations, regulatory reporting, new account verification, customer due diligence, and related compliance functions. Responsibilities increase in complexity and independence from Level I through Level III.</p><p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p><p>Below are functions the person filling the BSA/AML Analyst (I, II, III) position MUST be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodations. This list provides a general outline of required functions but may not be an inclusive list.</p><ul><li>Maintain current knowledge of the BSA and all related AML and OFAC regulations and aid in the development of related procedures or revisions to the program.</li><li>Utilize the bank's automated BSA/AML monitoring system and other reports to detect, investigate, and report suspicious activity as appropriate.</li><li>Perform thorough alert reviews with sufficient documentation to support a case review and possibly a SAR decision.</li><li>Prepare accurate and timely filings of CTRs and ensure required recordkeeping requirements.</li><li>Identify and prepare DOEPs for new CTR exempt customers identified who meet the requirements.</li><li>Complete yearly review of CTR exempted customers and revoke any previous CTR exempt customers when requirements are not met.</li><li>Review and process daily OFAC scans and document resolution of matches.</li><li>Process and review 314(a) scans as required.</li><li>Perform enhanced due diligence for customers identified as high risk, MSBs, independently owned ATM customers, and other elevated risk relationships.</li><li>Perform ongoing monitoring of customer accounts after a SAR has been filed.</li><li>Conduct new account verification and ensure proper CIP documentation is obtained according to policy and procedures.</li><li>Review and validate Customer Due Diligence (CDD) documentation and risk ratings.</li><li>Work new account and BSA exception tracking reports and assist in correcting deficiencies.</li><li>Complete quarterly employee account reviews as assigned.</li><li>Assist staff with any questions or concerns relating to CTRs and filings as well as aid bank staff regarding BSA issues and related inquiries.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of BSA audits and exams as it relates to CTRs, SARs, monitoring, and CIP.</li><li>Will serve as direct backup to other BSA functions as assigned.</li><li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as the need arises.</li></ul><p><strong>Level Distinctions</strong></p><p>While core responsibilities remain consistent, expectations increase by level:</p><p><strong>BSA Analyst I</strong></p><ul><li>Performs CTR processing, OFAC reviews, and CIP validation.</li><li>Assists with investigations and documentation preparation as requested.</li></ul><p><strong>BSA Analyst II</strong></p><ul><li>Independently conducts alert reviews and prepares documentation for basic investigations.</li><li>Assists with quality reviews, DOEP reviews and filing.</li><li>Serves as backup across all BSA operational functions.</li></ul><p><strong>BSA Analyst III</strong></p><ul><li>Performs basic investigations and EDD reviews.</li><li>Assists in preparation, review, and/or filing of timely SARs.</li><li>Provides technical guidance within the department.</li><li>Assists with ongoing monitoring of high-risk relationships and cases.</li><li>Provides mentoring to staff.</li><li>Participates in scenario modifications for alert tuning and additional coverage for new products and services.</li></ul><p><strong>Other Functions</strong></p><p>These are additional functions that the person filling the BSA Analyst (I, II, III) position may be responsible for. This list provides a general outline of other functions that may be requested, but may not be an inclusive list.</p><ul><li>Assist in audit and compliance areas as directed by Management</li><li>Assist in new account verification area as directed by Management.</li><li>Preparation of monthly BSA reports to go before the Board of Directors.</li><li>Prepare, review, and/or file timely SARs.</li></ul><p>The position of BSA Analyst (I, II, III) performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.</p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibility</strong></p><p>The position of BSA Analyst (I, II, III) is not responsible for the supervision of other staff. Level III may provide technical guidance but does not have formal supervisory authority unless otherwise assigned.</p><p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p><p>These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, education, and/or abilities required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.</p><ul><li>High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent</li><li>Level I: Minimum of 2 years banking experience, preferably in retail</li><li>Level II: Minimum of 35 years banking or BSA/AML experience</li><li>Level III: Minimum of 5+ years BSA/AML investigative experience</li><li>Knowledge of MS Word and Excel</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><p>In addition to the minimum requirements listed above, the qualifications listed below are generally preferred.</p><ul><li>Supervisory experience</li><li>Certified BSA/AML Professional (CBAP)</li><li>Experience in project management</li><li>Experience with automated BSA/AML monitoring systems</li><li>Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Liberal Arts, or Psychology</li></ul></div>
