As an NFIB Membership Sales Representative, you'll be the human connection that invites them into a national movement advocating on their behalf. Every conversation you have helps give small businesses a stronger voice at the state and federal level.</p><p>This is face-to-face, community-based work. You'll meet owners where they are, share NFIB's impact, and invite them to become part of something that protects their livelihood.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><p>What You'll Do</p><ul><li>Engage directly with small business owners through in-person prospecting (no appointment setting)</li><li>Deliver NFIB's proven, 5-minute sales presentation with confidence, authenticity, and urgency</li><li>Build fast rapport and communicate NFIB's mission clearly and compellingly</li><li>Address objections and close membership enrollments in one visit</li><li>Process membership payments on the spot</li></ul><p>This is a hunter/closer role with a clear, structured sales model and no account management after the saleallowing you to stay focused on impact and results.</p><p>We're seeking people who are:</p><ul><li>Mission-driven and passionate about small business success</li><li>Self-starters with grit, resilience, and a strong work ethic</li><li>Coachable and willing to follow a proven sales process</li><li>Quick thinkers who adapt well in live conversations</li><li>Motivated by growth, learning, and performance-based rewards</li></ul><p>Sales experience is helpfulbut not required. Many of our top performers came from other fields and brought transferable skills, hustle, and heart.</p><p>What You'll Get</p><ul><li>W-2 position with full benefits (medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), and more) eligible after 30 days</li><li>Up to 13 weeks of performance-based training pay (1,000/week or commission, whichever is greater)</li><li>Weekly commission payouts plus monthly and quarterly bonuses</li><li>Uncapped earning potential (straight commission)</li><li>Average annual compensation: $80,000$200,000</li><li>40% of the sales force earns six figures; top 10% exceed 200K</li><li>Monthly mileage reimbursement</li></ul><p>Who We Are</p><p>For over 80 years, NFIB has been the Voice of Small Business in Washington, D.C., and all 50 state capitals.
