Identify credit risk and assign a credit risk grade.<br /><br />ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES<br />Analyst completes Loan Reviews independently.<br /><br />Perform loan reviews of existing commercial loans:<br /><br />Compile &amp; input loan and financial data obtained from loan system and file documents into individual loan review forms.<br /><br />Perform cash flow adequacy analysis, balance sheet analysis, trend analysis, collateral valuation adequacy analysis, and other credit quality assessments relevant to the credit grade determination of the loan(s).<br /><br />Recommend credit risk grades and provide supporting reasons.<br /><br />Identify documentation and policy exceptions in the individual report.<br /><br />Spreading and analysis of commercial financial statements &amp; tax returns of existing loan customers as well as personal financial statements and tax returns of related guarantors when needed.<br /><br />Review Loans at time of Approval/Origination for Risk Grade appropriateness.<br /><br />Assist with quarterly board loan review meeting preparation: Collecting reviews into shared folder, creating cover page listing of reviews, compiling report of exceptions from the reviews, compiling exception trend reports, etc.<br /><br />Assist with analysis, monitoring, and grade changes using ‘target-risk’ loan data reports.<br /><br />Other duties as assigned<br /><br />SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES<br />This role has no supervisory responsibilities.<br /><br />QUALIFICATIONS<br />Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 12 hours of accounting.<br /><br />Required Knowledge: Not specified.<br /><br />Experience Required: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial credit areas of banking is preferred.<br /><br />Skills/Abilities:<br /><br />Must be analytical and detail oriented.<br /><br />Working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, and database applications.<br /><br />Ability to learn new software applications.<br /><br />Good oral and written communication skills.<br /><br />Ability to learn and adhere to policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.<br /><br />Work productively under direct supervision as well as independently.<br /><br />PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION<br />Talking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.<br /><br />Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.<br /><br />Repetitive Motion: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.<br /><br />Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.<br /><br />Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.)<br /><br />WORKING CONDITIONS<br />None: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (such as in a typical office).<br /><br />MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION<br />Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data establish facts and draw conclusions.<br /><br />Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables.<br /><br />Mathematics Ability: Strong math skills including ability to balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; locate common mathematical errors.<br /><br />Language Ability: Ability to read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias.<br /><br />Ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.<br /><br />Ability to conduct training, communicate at panel discussions, and make professional presentations.<br /><br />Monday - Friday: 8:00AM - 5:00PM<br />40 hours a week<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
