Who knows where our shared journey will take you?<br />Transform the everyday with us<br />The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.<br />We are looking fora Mechanical Developer/Engineerto join our team!This position will be basedatour Fort Worth, TXsite.<br />This role focuses on sustaining existing products, ensuring compliance, resolving field and manufacturing issues, and driving reliability and cost improvements.<br />You’ll make an impact by:<br />Investigate field, manufacturing, and supplier issues; perform root cause and failure analysis using test data and inspections; and implement corrective actions to improve product performance, quality, and reliability.<br />Create and manage ECO/ECN changes, evaluate modifications using standard processes (8D, PPAP, deviations), ensure compliance with applicable UL standards and product certifications, and maintain BOMs and product data within SAP and PLM systems.<br />Drive cost reduction, product robustness, and value engineering initiatives by leveraging field and manufacturing feedback to improve product performance, quality, and overall lifecycle value.<br />Resolve production and supplier-related issues while ensuring designs are manufacturable and aligned with established manufacturing processes and requirements.<br />Support and interpret thermal and electrical testing, partnering with test laboratories to validate design changes and ensure product performance and compliance requirements are met.<br />Maintain and update 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings in CREO, implementing engineering changes in CAD while ensuring alignment with BOMs and product definitions.<br />Use digital tools and AI-assisted analysis to identify trends, support root cause analysis, and improve engineering efficiency<br />You’llwin us over by having the following qualifications:<br />Basic Qualifications:<br />Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline<br />2+ years of experience in product, sustaining, or manufacturing engineering<br />Experience using 3D modeling software for engineering drawings.<br />Experience managing bills of materials (BOMs) in SAP or a similar ERP system.<br />Experience supporting engineering change processes and root cause analysis.<br />Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship<br />Preferred Qualifications:<br />5+ years of experience in product, sustaining, or manufacturing engineering<br />Experience using CREO<br />Experience with busway, bus plugs, panelboards, switchboards, or similar equipment<br />Knowledge of related product standards - UL857, UL67, UL891, and NEC<br />Exposure to manufacturing processes and electrical testing<br />About Siemens:<br />We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare.
