School: Harvard School of Dental Medicine<br /><br />Position Description:<br /><br />We are seeking a Research Data Analyst in the Department of Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology (OHPE). This position will work with Dr. Hawazin Elani and her team on a range of health policy projects focused on disparities in oral health.<br /><br />This role is ideal for someone with enthusiasm for empirical research and the ability and interest to learn new skills and take initiative as projects develop.<br /><br />Responsibilities include:<br /><br />Managing datasets, estimating statistical models, and ensuring data integrity<br /><br />Writing statistical considerations and algorithms for protocol documents according to study design<br /><br />Documenting model development, structure, logic, coding, and testing; optimizing, testing, and debugging model code<br /><br />Summarizing and presenting findings as reports, tables, graphs, and models; collaborating on manuscripts, abstracts, and other publications documenting study findings<br /><br />Engaging in research dissemination activities, including presentation at lab meetings and updates to funding agencies<br /><br />Participating in modelling work group meetings and contributing to the development of new projects and proposals<br /><br />Working independently and collaboratively with other research team members<br /><br />Following Harvard University IT technical standards, policies, and code of conduct<br /><br />Analyzing electronic health records, administrative claims, and national survey data<br /><br />Ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines for confidential data and maintaining up‑to‑date training on human subjects research and data security<br /><br />Basic Qualifications:<br /><br />Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, data science, or a closely related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
