Financial Analyst

<p>Our client, a Non-Profit Organization in New York City, is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Financial Analyst.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting across corporate and administrative functions.</li><li>Partner with department leaders to manage spending, assess financial risks and opportunities, and guide resource allocation.</li><li>Prepare financial reports and management presentations, including budget-to-actual variance analysis.</li><li>Analyze operating expenses, staffing, compensation, and vendor costs to identify trends and potential savings.</li><li>Provide financial insights to support business decisions, new initiatives, vendor agreements, and workforce planning.</li><li>Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and performance metrics.</li><li>Improve reporting efficiency through automation while maintaining accurate, consistent financial data.</li><li>Enhance budgeting and forecasting processes and support improvements to financial systems.</li><li>Assist with audits, leadership reporting, and special finance projects.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.</li><li>1+ years of FP&amp;A experience, with a focus on expense analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.</li><li>Experience analyzing operating costs and explaining budget-to-actual variances.</li><li>Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling and working with large data sets.</li><li>Familiarity with financial reporting systems and dashboard tools a plus.</li><li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to communicate financial insights clearly and collaborate with department leaders.</li><li>Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.</li></ul>
