<p><strong><em>Remote Prior Authorization Representative</em></strong></p><p><strong>$26–$28/hr | Fully Remote | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM EST</strong></p><p><br /></p><p>Medix is hiring <strong>3 Prior Authorization Representatives</strong> to support Thesis Care and its outpatient specialty practices.</p><p><br /></p><p>This is a hands-on authorization role for someone who already understands the process and is comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.</p><p>The team supports prior authorization workflows across a variety of outpatient specialties, including <strong>gastroenterology, endocrinology, behavioral health, neurology, telehealth, cardiology, imaging, specialty medications, and other specialty services</strong>.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p><ul><li>Review physician orders and medical documentation</li><li>Submit prior authorization requests for specialty procedures, services, imaging, and medications</li><li>Work with commercial and government insurance plans</li><li>Follow up with payers on pending authorizations</li><li>Resolve authorization issues and documentation gaps</li><li>Track cases through completion</li><li>Document all authorization activity accurately</li><li>Work with internal clinical and operations teams when questions or escalations come up</li></ul><p>The team’s long-term goal is approximately <strong>40 cases per day</strong>, with productivity ramping after training.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>What We Need</strong></p><ul><li><strong>3+ years of prior authorization experience</strong></li><li>Strong commercial insurance experience</li><li>Medicare/Medicaid experience is a plus</li><li>Experience with outpatient specialty authorizations</li><li>Comfortable working directly with payers</li><li>Strong computer skills</li><li>Able to manage a high-volume queue and stay organized</li><li>Comfortable working independently and asking questions when needed</li></ul><p><strong>eClinicalWorks experience is preferred.</strong></p><p><br /></p><p><strong>What to Expect</strong></p><p>Training is expected to be about <strong>one week</strong>, followed by a fairly quick transition into the actual workload.</p><p>Thesis moves quickly.
