<p><strong>Job title</strong>: Clerical Assistant</p><p><strong>Job location</strong>: New York, NY 10016</p><p><strong>Shift: M-F - DAY</strong></p><p><strong>Pay</strong>: $20 $25/hr</p><p><strong>Length</strong>: 2 months with possible extension</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Skills: </strong></p><ul><li>2 + years of clerical, administrative, customer service, healthcare registration, medical office or related experience</li><li>Strong customer service and communication skills</li><li>Patient registration and check-in experience</li><li><strong>EPIC </strong>experience preferred</li><li>Accurate data entry and attention to detail</li><li>Appointment scheduling experience</li><li>Ability to manage high patient volume and mulitple priorities</li><li>Professional and courtous telephone skills</li><li>ability to verify patient demographics and insurance information</li><li>Bilingual <strong>Spanish</strong></li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Education</strong>:</p><p>High School Diploma/ GED; Prior medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Duties</strong>:</p><p>Clerical work, including filing, data entry, reception work, schedule meetings, typing and preparing correspondence, indexing, operating office equipment (fax, computer, photocopier), and other clerical functions. 50 keystrokes per minute, Microsoft Office knowledge intermediate level. Interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Excellent customer service skills. Performs data entry and general clerical duties. Maintains professional demeanor. Liaisons with nurses, physicians and staff.
