Data Security Analyst

<p><strong>Data Security Process Improvement Analyst:</strong></p><p><br /></p><ul><li>This individual will collaborate across technology and business teams to assess current processes, support new initiatives, and ensure alignment with information security standards, regulatory requirements, and strategic goals.</li><li>The candidate should be able to work across departments and have hands-on experience with information security tools, controls, or security-related initiatives.</li><li>Experience improving governance, risk management, and compliance processes.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Core responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Process mapping: Document current security workflows and identify bottlenecks.</li><li>Control automation: Use tools to automate tasks such as access reviews and alert handling.</li><li>Policy tuning: Adjust data loss prevention (DLP) rules to reduce false positives.</li><li>Risk reporting: Track security metrics and prepare management reports.</li><li>Risk analysis: Identify weaknesses in data handling practices and employee behavior.</li><li>Automation tools: Use programming languages such as Python or platforms such as Power Automate.</li><li>Data visualization: Create Power BI or Tableau charts to highlight improvement opportunities.</li><li>Communication: Explain complex security risks in clear business terms.</li><li>Tools and frameworks</li><li>Data protection: Microsoft Purview.</li><li>Security frameworks: ISO 27001 and NIST.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Note: </strong>Advanced expertise in process improvement frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Green Belt certification is not required.</p><p><br /></p>
