<p><strong>Business Analyst — Payments Engineering</strong></p><p><br /></p><p>We are seeking a <strong>Business Analyst — Payments Engineering</strong> to support the modernization of our client payment systems, with a primary focus on domestic and international bank transfer platforms.</p><p><br /></p><p>This role will serve as a bridge between the <strong>Payments/Transfers team, Technology, and third-party vendors</strong>, gathering requirements, modeling current and future-state processes, and translating operational needs into clear specifications that Engineering can build and QA can test.</p><p><br /></p><p>The position will also support vendor platform upgrades, workflow automation, and orchestration within a highly regulated financial services environment.</p><p><br /></p><p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p><ul><li>Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for the initiation, validation, review, approval, and settlement of payments and foreign exchange transactions.</li><li>Write user stories with clear acceptance criteria; maintain and prioritize the backlog in <strong>Jira</strong> and refine requirements with Developers and QA.</li><li>Model current- and future-state processes using <strong>Visio and UML</strong>, including activity, sequence, and use-case diagrams, to support the migration of legacy BPM workflows to <strong>Netflix Conductor</strong>.</li><li>Identify manual steps throughout the payment lifecycle, recommend automation opportunities, and develop supporting business cases.</li><li>Perform gap analysis for vendor platform upgrades; document interface requirements, data mapping, and migration needs; support vendor evaluations and production deployment planning.</li><li>Collaborate with UX, business stakeholders, Developers, and QA to ensure requirements are clearly understood, feasible, and delivered as specified.</li><li>Coordinate <strong>User Acceptance Testing (UAT)</strong> by defining test scenarios, preparing business testers, tracking defects, and obtaining formal sign-off.</li><li>Create and maintain user manuals, process guides, and a knowledge base for the Bank’s payment solutions.</li><li>Ensure requirements reflect the Bank’s control environment, including <strong>segregation of duties, four-eyes approval, transaction limits, cut-off times, and sanctions screening</strong>, and comply with change control, audit, and information security requirements.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Requirements gathering and documentation, including <strong>BRDs/FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria</strong>.</li><li>Process modeling using <strong>Visio and UML or BPMN</strong>.</li><li>Experience with <strong>Jira and Confluence or equivalent tools</strong>.</li><li><strong>SQL</strong> for data analysis and requirements validation.</li><li>Experience working within <strong>Agile delivery environments</strong>.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of <strong>banking payments and foreign exchange</strong>.</li><li>Familiarity with <strong>Fedwire, SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, and ACH/Nacha</strong>.</li><li>Understanding of workflow orchestration concepts, including <strong>Netflix Conductor or comparable BPM platforms</strong>.</li><li>Experience with <strong>Salesforce</strong>.</li><li>Experience supporting vendor upgrade programs or core system migrations.</li><li>Experience collaborating with UX teams on wireframes and user experience requirements.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Languages:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Fluent English and Portuguese required.</strong></li><li>Spanish is a plus.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>
