Software Engineer

<p><strong>Software Engineer, High Growth Start-UP, AI Platform (Python / LLM Agents)</strong></p><p><strong>New York City</strong></p><p><br /></p><p>I'm working with a well-funded AI platform company in Manhattan, founded by early engineers from some of the best-known data infrastructure companies in the market. Large enterprises use their product to let non-engineers build production apps on their own company data, with IT keeping full control of access and audit.</p><p>They're growing a small, senior engineering team and are looking for a Software Engineer to work on the AI agent at the core of the product.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>You'll join a team of experienced engineers who have built widely used open-source data tools, and you'll own real parts of the platform from day one. This is hands-on work on an agent that writes, runs, debugs and tests code for enterprise customers.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Typical work includes:</strong></p><ul><li>Building the AI coding agent that generates, runs and debugs application code</li><li>Developing the agent's memory layer so it learns each customer's schema, APIs and systems</li><li>Working on sandboxing and code isolation so generated code runs safely</li><li>Designing backend services and data models behind the platform</li><li>Improving how the agent tests and QAs the apps it builds</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Tech Stack</strong></p><p>Python, LLM APIs, agent orchestration frameworks, PostgreSQL, distributed backend services, modern cloud infrastructure.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>What they're looking for</strong></p><ul><li>3+ years of software engineering experience</li><li>Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems or LLM applications in production</li><li>Strong backend engineering and database design skills in Python</li><li>Background at a high-growth startup or infrastructure company is beneficial</li><li>Experience with security, sandboxing or distributed systems is a plus</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><ul><li>Work on the core AI agent at a well-funded company with serious enterprise customers</li><li>Join a small, senior team early, with real ownership over what you build</li><li>$200,000 to $240,000 base plus equity</li><li>H1B transfers, OPT and TN are supported</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>If you'd like to hear more about the role and the company behind it, feel free to apply or reach out directly on [email protected]</p>
