Lead Full Stack Application Developer - Java & React - Local to St Pete, FL

<p><strong>Open for someone local to Tampa Bay area for hybrid onsite model</strong></p><p><strong>On W2 only No C2C</strong></p><p><strong>Need someone strong with React and some Java required with some AI experience</strong></p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>· Analyze business requirements, technical requirements, and system interactions across impacted applications, components, and subsystems.</p><p>· Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and support scalable full stack applications using React, Java, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.</p><p>· Senior development efforts for assigned projects, including solution design, task assignment, code reviews, technical guidance, and delivery coordination.</p><p>· Build responsive, maintainable front-end applications using <strong>React 19</strong>, TypeScript, component-based design, and modern UI development practices.</p><p>· Develop secure and performant backend services using <strong>Java</strong>, Spring Boot or comparable Java frameworks, RESTful APIs, and enterprise service patterns.</p><p>· Apply <strong>AI-assisted development practices</strong> to accelerate software delivery, including code generation, refactoring, unit test creation, documentation, debugging, and developer workflow optimization.</p><p>· Evaluate and apply AI-driven engineering tools responsibly while ensuring security, compliance, maintainability, and code quality standards are met.</p><p>· Partner with architecture, product owners, business analysts, QA, DevOps, and other technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions.</p><p>· Recommend new technologies, frameworks, tools, and methodologies to improve delivery, quality, automation, and maintainability.</p><p>· Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, production support, and remediation of complex application issues.</p><p>· Review system specifications, technical designs, code, test results, and implementation plans.</p><p>· Ensure proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to reduce rework, production defects, and schedule slippage.</p><p>· Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices, including clean code, automated testing, secure coding, CI/CD, observability, and documentation.</p><p>· Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><p>· Strong hands-on experience with <strong>modern React, including React 19</strong>.</p><p>· Strong hands-on experience with <strong>Java</strong></p><p>· Experience with <strong>AI-assisted development tools and practices</strong>, including practical use of AI to support coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and software delivery.</p><p>· Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services.</p><p>· Experience with modern Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, or similar technologies.</p><p>· Strong understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, responsive design, and modern front-end architecture.</p><p>· Experience with unit testing, integration testing, automated testing frameworks, and code quality tools.</p><p>· Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, build tools, and modern DevOps practices.</p><p>· Strong understanding of secure coding practices, application performance, maintainability, and production support.</p><p>· Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical work independently and provide direction to other developers.</p><p>· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Preferred Experience and Skills</strong></p><p>· Experience in Financial Services or other highly regulated enterprise environments.</p><p>· Experience building or integrating <strong>agentic workflows</strong>, AI-enabled automation, LLM-powered applications, or intelligent developer/productivity workflows.</p><p>· Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, messaging platforms, or distributed systems.</p><p>· Experience with observability tools, logging, monitoring, and application performance management.</p><p>· Experience with enterprise authentication and authorization patterns.</p><p>· Experience leading Agile development teams or serving as a technical lead on complex initiatives.</p><p>· Experience with application modernization, legacy system integration, or large-scale enterprise implementations.</p><p>· Experience with Google Chrome Extension development and deployment.</p>
