<p></p><p>In Cardiovascular Operating Room at Main Campus Children's of Alabama </p> <p>Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Monday-Friday with call shifts. </p> <h3>Summary </h3> <p>The CVOR Nurse Specialist is a professional nurse who, with minimal supervision, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of CV patients who require a surgical procedure. </p> <h3>Other Information </h3> <ul> <li>Knows AORN Guidelines for Perioperative Practice and is an expert in the Principles of Sterile Technique. </li> <li>Knowledgeable regarding specialized CV instrumentation and maintenance. </li> <li>Knowledgeable about the heart lung bypass machine functionality, tubing, and circuit connections. </li> <li>Knowledgeable about implants and requirements for preparation and implantation. </li> <li>Demonstrates understanding of hemodynamic parameters and uses this knowledge to anticipate needs. </li> <li>Demonstrates interpretation of electrocardiographic information to continually assess patient needs. </li> <li>Is able to focus on patient safety during all phases of the preoperative, intraoperative, and immediate postoperative process as the ultimate patient advocate. </li> <li>Has the ability to be flexible and versatile while maintaining a calm demeanor. </li> </ul> <h3>Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications </h3> <p>Essential: </p> <ul> <li>Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below: <ul> <li>Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State </li> <li>Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State </li> </ul> </li> <li>Basic Life Support </li> </ul> <h3>Education with Equivalent Qualifications </h3> <p>Essential: </p> <ul> <li>Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing </li> </ul> <h3>Experience with Equivalent Qualifications </h3> <p>Essential: Experience not specified in the posted description. </p> <h3>Schedule </h3> <p>Monday-Friday with call shifts, Day Shift, 8-Hour Shifts </p> <p></p> #J-18808-Ljbffr
