<p></p><h3>Role Overview </h3><p>Airgas, an Air Liquide company, seeks a New Business Development Account Representative to manage the sales process and advance profitable sales growth for both existing and new Airgas customers in the Columbia, SC area. </p><h3>Responsibilities </h3><ul><li>Develop and implement sales plans based on Airgas’ initiatives to service existing accounts and establish new ones. </li><li>Qualify and connect with sales leads, nurturing customer relationships through a consultative approach. </li><li>Prepare sales proposals, quoting pricing, establishing credit terms, and estimating delivery dates from knowledge of production and logistics. </li><li>Stay updated on industry insights, product mixes, pricing, and market trends to support effective selling. </li><li>Collaborate with internal resources to achieve milestones and maintain clear communication across departments regarding customer successes, opportunities, and new developments. </li><li>Submit sales reports (daily call reports, weekly work plans, monthly and annual territory analyses) as requested by the District Manager via SAP. </li><li>Actively review and manage existing customer Accounts Receivable balances to protect working capital and reduce financial risk. </li> </ul><h3>Required Qualifications </h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. </li><li>Reliable transportation, current driver’s license, and minimum liability insurance as required by state vehicle registration. </li> </ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications </h3><ul><li>3+ years of outside B2B sales experience with effective solution‑selling concepts. </li><li>Experience supporting customers within an assigned community. </li><li>Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases or a background in industrial gas/welding supply sales. </li> </ul><h3>Benefits </h3><ul><li>Competitive base pay plus commission; monthly auto allowance; travel within assigned territory. </li><li>Comprehensive family benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance. </li><li>Paid child birth benefit up to 14 weeks. </li><li>401(k) retirement plan with company match; tuition assistance; paid holidays; vacation and sick time. </li><li>Early access to benefits after 30 days of employment. </li><li>Additional benefits: Employee Assistance Program, pre‑tax commuter transportation, parental leave, floating holidays, jury duty and funeral/bereavement leave, and paid holidays for all eligible full‑time employees. </li><li>401k with company matching funds, tuition reimbursement, and discounted college tuition for eligible employees’ dependents. </li> </ul><h3>Equal Employment Opportunity Statement </h3><p>Airgas is an equal‑opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
