<p></p><h3>Role Overview </h3> <p>We’re looking for a Business Development &amp; Architectural Representative to own the technical and specification side of our BD function. You’ll be the face of Mitrex &amp; Cladify with architects, designers, and specifiers — leading Lunch &amp; Learn sessions, responding to RFI/RFQ packages, and building relationships that move our solar cladding products into specifications. An architectural or construction background is strongly preferred. This is a client‑facing, relationship‑driven role that sits between technical expert and business developer. </p> <h3>Key Responsibilities </h3> <h3>Customer Outreach </h3> <ul> <li>Build and maintain relationships with architects, general contractors, building owners, engineers, building envelope consultants, and specification writers </li> <li>Conduct outreach to clients, maintain relationships, and convert to project opportunities </li> <li>Present Mitrex &amp; Cladify’s solar cladding systems to construction and architectural audiences </li> <li>Guide specifiers through the product selection process and assist in getting Mitrex products written into project specifications </li> <li>Respond to or support responses to RFQ with accurate, well‑prepared documentation </li> <li>Develop sufficient technical product knowledge to handle detailed conversations with architects and envelope consultants independently </li> </ul> <h3>Outbound Campaigns &amp; Meeting Generation </h3> <ul> <li>Own outbound prospecting campaigns using Apollo, Clay, Zapier, or equivalent platforms — building target lists, writing sequences, and booking meetings for the sales team </li> <li>Manage and optimize email outreach sequences, A/B testing subject lines, messaging, and calls to action to improve open and reply rates </li> <li>Research and segment prospecting lists by audience type (architects, developers, building owners, contractors) to maximize campaign relevance </li> <li>Track outbound campaign performance and report on meeting‑booked metrics weekly </li> </ul> <h3>Documentation Support </h3> <ul> <li>Prepare and maintain presentation decks, product binders, technical data sheets, and leave‑behind materials for design audiences </li> <li>Support the BD team in preparing client‑facing proposals and specification packages </li> </ul> <h3>CRM, Reporting &amp; Pipeline </h3> <ul> <li>Maintain CRM (Salesforce) data quality—leads, contacts, opportunities, and meeting notes kept current after every interaction </li> <li>Monitor and update ConstructConnect and other project intelligence sources weekly for specification‑stage opportunities </li> <li>Track BD KPIs related to architectural outreach, L&amp;L attendance, and specification conversions; flag anomalies to management </li> <li>Use AI tools where available to streamline reporting, research, and outreach workflows </li> </ul> <h3>Client Meeting &amp; Event Support </h3> <ul> <li>Attend client and prospect meetings alongside the sales team, contributing technical context and follow‑up documentation </li> <li>Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and architectural association functions as needed </li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications </h3> <ul> <li>Background in architecture, architectural technology, interior design, or building products / construction - strongly preferred </li> <li>2+ years of experience in a client‑facing, BD, or technical sales support role </li> <li>Confident presenter with experience speaking to design professionals or technical audiences </li> <li>Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce experience is an asset) </li> <li>Experience preparing or responding to RFI/RFQ and specification documents </li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce professional client‑facing materials </li> <li>High attention to detail with a zero‑error standard for client‑facing documents </li> <li>Comfortable using AI tools to improve workflows and output quality </li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments </li> <li>Post‑secondary education in architecture, architectural technology, business, or a related field preferred </li> </ul> <h3>Benefits </h3> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and bonus structure </li> <li>Generous paid time off and holidays </li> <li>Professional development opportunities </li> <li>Collaborative and supportive work environment </li> </ul> <p>We are an equal‑opportunity employer that welcomes all candidates from diverse backgrounds.
