<p></p><h3>Job Title: Recovery Specialist </h3> <p>Reports To: RS Supervisor </p> <h3>Hiring Multiple Recovery Specialists </h3> <p>Shifts: </p> <ul> <li>Friday & Saturday 3pm-11:30pm </li> <li>Sunday - Thursday 11:15pm - 7:15am </li> <li>Tuesday - Saturday 11:15pm-7:15pm </li> </ul> <h3>Benefits Package for Full-Time Employees </h3> <ul> <li>Health Insurance </li> <li>Dental Insurance </li> <li>PTO </li> <li>PFMLA </li> <li>Tuition Reimbursement </li> <li>Life Insurance </li> <li>EAP </li> <li>401K with match after 1-year </li> </ul> <h3>Summary of Position </h3> <p>Work with a team comprised of medical professionals, clinicians and case managers to provide support, counseling and community referrals to individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders. The Recovery Specialist will have direct contact with clients and monitor their daily recovery progress. Responsible for maintaining the safety of clients, facility and providing understanding and direction to the clients in program. </p> <h3>Primary Responsibilities </h3> <ul> <li>Assist Intake Coordinator with admission and screening of clients </li> <li>Assisting Client’s through the admission process </li> <li>Process Client’s clothes to prevent bed bugs </li> <li>Storing and securing Client’s clothes </li> <li>Orienting clients to the facility </li> <li>Assist with case management services, as needed </li> <li>Ensure client’s complete daily life skills including personal hygiene </li> <li>Ensure the safety of resident’s (physical and emotional) well being </li> <li>Ensure that the program policies are followed and document any deviation of said policies </li> <li>Provide crisis intervention when necessary </li> <li>Assisting with discharging and escorting patients off of the premise </li> <li>Driving Client’s in the absence of program drivers </li> <li>Utilizes standard precautions at all times, maintenance of CPR certification and understanding of emergency procedures </li> <li>Ensuring clients attend groups and counseling as assigned </li> <li>Ensuring clients participate in meals </li> <li>Clean spills as needed </li> <li>Provide supervision to clients during designated smoking breaks (Staff are not allowed to smoke with clients) </li> <li>Complete bed checks every 30 minutes noting any issues in the communication log </li> <li>Other duties as assigned including assisting with meals if needed </li> </ul> <h3>Requirements </h3> <ul> <li>Two years’ experience in health and human service-related field, preferably working with co-occurring behavioral health and substance use disorders. Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor preferred. </li> <li>Must be able to pass CORI and Drug Testing requirements </li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of, and committed to adhering to, federal and state policies (42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA) </li> <li>Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, & boundaries. </li> <li>Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communication skills. </li> <li>Candidates with lived expertise are encouraged to apply, if in recovery, must have two years of continuous sobriety </li> <li>Personal characteristics of understanding, dedication, empathy and genuineness are essential. </li> </ul> <h3>Physical Requirements </h3> <ul> <li>Frequent interaction with providers, colleagues, clients, residents and visitors requiring the employee to communicate, as well as detect and interpret information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, occasionally during emergency situations. </li> <li>Frequent communication of accurate information, instructions, and ideas so others will understand. </li> <li>Bending to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment up to twenty (20) pounds. </li> <li>Frequent movement throughout the program, including up and down multiple flights of stairs to access, obtain, or distribute supplies (sometimes pushing or pulling equipment), conduct wellness checks, interact with clients and residents, etc. </li> <li>Remain in a stationary position for an extended period, as needed. </li> </ul> <p>GAVIN FOUNDATION IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER </p> <p></p> #J-18808-Ljbffr
