<p></p><h3>About the Practice </h3> <p>MVRPS is seeking a well‑trained, ambitious, ethical, hard‑working and charismatic retina specialist with exceptional patient manners. The practice has a main office in the Texas Medical Center in Houston (the largest medical center in the U.S.) and one satellite location currently served once a month. MVRPS strives to provide an exceptional patient experience and has well‑trained staff. The practice has participated in clinical trials. Dr. Carvounis has an extensive record of presenting and teaching at major national meetings, has trained 14 vitreoretinal fellows while serving as director of the retina fellowship program at Baylor College of Medicine, and has trained over 100 residents. Dr Carvounis typically performs 10–16 vitrectomies (range 6–22) a week and sees 240–280 patients a week. </p> <p>Applications from graduating fellows or experienced vitreoretinal surgeons are welcome. </p> <h3>Compensation & Benefits </h3> <p>Initial base salary is $425,000 with a generous productivity incentive for a 5‑day working week with up to one day of travel to the satellite location and light call duty every other week. Opportunity for buying into ASCs within one mile of the practice exists.
