Institutional Consulting Analyst

<p></p><p>Institutional Consulting Analysts provide exceptional service to our clients and support Institutional Consulting Directors (ICD) and their teams. The Institutional Consulting Analyst is an integral member of the Graystone Team. As a key member of the service team, in supporting the ICD/team, this role will focus on assisting in areas such as digital marketing, portfolio holdings and/or proposal tools, financial planning, reporting and analysis. The Institutional Consulting Analyst is also responsible for matters of technical policy and standards, presentation materials, and performance measurement for technically advanced accounts. </p> <h3>DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: </h3> <h3>Client Service: </h3> <ul> <li>Assisting the ICD/team in delivering against the client service model, including preparing for regular meetings and tracking follow‑ups </li> <li>Providing backup coverage for traditional client service responsibilities such as executing money movement transactions, answering general non‑investment related questions concerning client accounts, educating or enrolling clients in digital tools (e.g., MS Online), and entering orders in a clerical capacity </li> <li>Remaining current on all policies, procedures and new platforms </li> <li>Contributing to client/account presentations in partnership with the ICD/team, providing updates and information on investment managers </li> </ul> <h3>Business Development Support: </h3> <ul> <li>Executing administrative elements of digital and in‑person marketing strategies including conferences, seminars, webinars, websites, social media and regular email connectivity at the direction of the ICD/team </li> <li>Preparing and reviewing institutional client reports or financial plans from firm‑approved systems for existing or prospective clients at the request of the client and/or ICD/team </li> <li>Assisting with research using firm‑approved systems as requested by the client and/or ICD/team </li> <li>Participating in client and/or prospective client meetings, representing the service lens, at the request of ICD/team </li> <li>Participating in firm initiatives, special projects, and other duties directed by local management </li> </ul> <h3>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS: </h3> <h3>Education and/or Experience </h3> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in a field relevant to the position required </li> <li>Four‑year college degree or professional certification preferred </li> <li>Active Series 7 (GS) and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA) required </li> <li>Additional product licenses may be required </li> <li>Willingness to obtain the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation </li> </ul> <h3>Knowledge/Skills </h3> <ul> <li>Knowledge of financial services products and services, including measuring performance of institutional clients’ portfolios </li> <li>Technically proficient and quick learner of new and updated platforms </li> <li>Detail oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize </li> <li>Expert knowledge of basic personal computer, MS Office (particularly MS Excel) and internet applications </li> <li>Exceptional writing, interpersonal and client service skills </li> <li>Strong time management skills </li> <li>Team player with the ability to collaborate with others </li> <li>Ability to work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment </li> <li>Adaptable and able to multi‑task </li> <li>Goal oriented, self‑motivated and results driven </li> </ul> <h3>Reports to: </h3> <ul> <li>Business Service Officer </li> </ul> <p>Morgan Stanley is an equal opportunity employer committed to building and maintaining a workforce that is diverse in experience and background.
