X 5 Days| 4 daysonsite and 1 day remote<br /></strong><strong>Help Shape the Financial Future of a Growing Utility<br /></strong>Peoples Gas is seeking an experienced <strong>Senior or Lead Business Planning Analyst </strong> to support operational excellence in a dynamic, highly regulated utility environment. In this role, you will influence critical <strong>Operations & Maintenance (O&M) </strong> and <strong>Capital planning decisions </strong>, partner closely with business leaders, and help guide the company through short‑ and long‑term financial planning.<br />This opportunity is ideal for a strategic financial professional who enjoys working across the business, turning data into insight, and influencing decisions that matter.<br /><strong>Level will be determined based on experience, depth of expertise, and demonstrated leadership capability.<br /></strong><strong>What You’ll Do<br /></strong>You’ll play a key role in annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning, with increasing scope and leadership at the Lead level.<br /><strong>Core Responsibilities (Senior & Lead)<br /></strong></p><ul><li>Prepare and coordinate significant portions of the annual budget and monthly forecasts, primarily supporting O&M and/or Capital portfolios </li><li>Lead efforts to develop multi‑year forecasts and long‑term financial plans across multiple departments </li><li>Partner with operations leaders on cost tracking, cost management, and forward‑looking forecasts </li><li>Create and maintain financial models, dashboards, and analytical tools to support operational decision‑making </li><li>Prepare monthly variance analyses, financial reporting packages, and executive‑ready summaries highlighting risks and opportunities </li><li>Perform economic evaluations and capital/O&M justification analyses to support investment decisions </li><li>Communicate financial insights clearly to business partners and leadership, identifying areas for efficiency and improvement<br /></li> </ul><strong>Additional Scope At The Lead Business Planning Analyst Level<br /></strong><ul><li>Serve as a primary financial advisor to complex and high‑impact business areas </li><li>Mentor and guide senior and junior analysts;
