In this role, you will influence critical <strong>Operations &amp; Maintenance (O&amp;M) </strong> and <strong>Capital planning decisions </strong>, partner closely with business leaders, and help guide the company through short‑ and long‑term financial planning.<br />This opportunity is ideal for a strategic financial professional who enjoys working across the business, turning data into insight, and influencing decisions that matter.<br /><strong>Level will be determined based on experience, depth of expertise, and demonstrated leadership capability.<br /></strong><strong>What You’ll Do<br /></strong>You’ll play a key role in annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning, with increasing scope and leadership at the Lead level.<br /><strong>Core Responsibilities (Senior &amp; Lead)<br /></strong></p><ul><li>Prepare and coordinate significant portions of the annual budget and monthly forecasts, primarily supporting O&amp;M and/or Capital portfolios </li><li>Lead efforts to develop multi‑year forecasts and long‑term financial plans across multiple departments </li><li>Partner with operations leaders on cost tracking, cost management, and forward‑looking forecasts </li><li>Create and maintain financial models, dashboards, and analytical tools to support operational decision‑making </li><li>Prepare monthly variance analyses, financial reporting packages, and executive‑ready summaries highlighting risks and opportunities </li><li>Perform economic evaluations and capital/O&amp;M justification analyses to support investment decisions </li><li>Communicate financial insights clearly to business partners and leadership, identifying areas for efficiency and improvement<br /></li> </ul><strong>Additional Scope At The Lead Business Planning Analyst Level<br /></strong><ul><li>Serve as a primary financial advisor to complex and high‑impact business areas </li><li>Mentor and guide senior and junior analysts; act as a delegate for the Manager, Business Planning as needed </li><li>Lead cross‑functional planning efforts with a high degree of independence </li><li>Influence enterprise‑level financial strategy and continuous improvement initiatives<br /></li> </ul><strong>What Success Looks Like<br /></strong><ul><li>Accurate, timely budgets and forecasts trusted by business leaders </li><li>Clear financial insights that shape operational and capital decisions </li><li>Strong partnerships with operations, strategy, regulatory, and finance teams </li><li>Proactive identification of risks, opportunities, and cost‑control strategies<br /></li> </ul><strong>Required Qualifications<br /></strong><strong>What We’re Looking For<br /></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field from a regionally accredited college/university </li><li>Senior Analyst: 5+ years of accounting or financial experience </li><li>Lead Analyst: 7+ years of financial or accounting experience </li><li>Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint </li><li>Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast‑paced environment </li><li>Sound judgment, attention to detail, and comfort working with senior leaders<br /></li> </ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br /></strong><ul><li>CPA (active or in progress) </li><li>Experience with systems such as SAP, PowerPlan, and/or OneStream </li><li>Knowledge of utility operations, utility accounting, or regulatory environments<br /></li> </ul><strong>Skills That Will Help You Thrive<br /></strong><ul><li>Financial modeling &amp;
