This role will be embedded with the agency's Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) and will focus on migrating data and applications from a Natural/ADABAS environment to modern Oracle infrastructure, working as part of a collaborative Agile Scrum team. </p><p><b>Responsibilities: </b> </p><ul><li>Assess user requirements and user stories, translating them into technical tasks and development scripts </li><li>Identify data elements in a Natural/ADABAS application and establish new table structures in Oracle 19c </li><li>Write and execute data migration scripts to move data to new tables </li><li>Support, patch, and upgrade Natural programming language, ADABAS database, and CONNX software </li><li>Develop Oracle database views for use in Tableau to support agency business intelligence needs </li><li>Collaborate closely with application architects, developers, and database administrators </li><li>Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives </li><li>Estimate and size tasks for sprint development </li><li>Write comprehensive technical and user documentation </li><li>Present work and findings to business owners and project stakeholders </li> </ul><h3>Qualifications </h3><p><b>Required: </b> </p><ul><li><b>8+ years </b> of experience as a software developer on application development projects (enhancements and ground-up) </li><li><b>8+ years </b> coding with:<ul><li>Natural 8.3 & ADABAS 6.5 </li><li>Attachmate EXTRA! </li><li>Unix AIX 7.2 </li><li>Cronus Espbatch Job Scheduler </li><li>SCL (JCL) System Control Language </li><li>Oracle 12c or 19c & SQL </li><li>SVN or equivalent version control </li> </ul> </li><li><b>8+ years </b> supporting, patching, and upgrading Natural, ADABAS, and CONNX software </li><li><b>8+ years </b> eliciting requirements from end users and forming epics/user stories </li><li><b>8+ years </b> following requirements end-to-end to ensure proper delivery </li><li><b>8+ years </b> writing technical documentation and testing applications </li><li><b>3+ years </b> working on an Agile Scrum team as a software developer </li><li><b>3+ years </b> using Microsoft Teams or similar collaboration tools </li><li><b>3+ years </b> estimating and sizing tasks for sprint development </li> </ul><p><b>Preferred Qualifications </b> </p><ul><li><b>4+ years </b> writing user documentation </li><li><b>4+ years </b> experience with NearStar print management and EntireX by SoftwareAG </li><li><b>4+ years </b> working on Java applications </li><li><b>On-site, 5 days per week </b> at client headquarters in Austin, TX </li><li>Standard hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT </li><li>Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required for production cutovers (pre-approved and compensated at the quoted hourly rate) </li><li>All travel, parking, and living expenses are the responsibility of the contractor </li> </ul><p><b>Additional Requirements </b> </p><ul><li>Must be available for an <b>in-person interview </b> at the client site in Austin, TX </li><li>Must be able to accept delivery of a client-issued laptop in person </li><li>Must pass a <b>criminal background check </b> as authorized by Texas law </li><li>Must not be listed on federal debarment/EPLS or OFAC prohibited vendor lists </li><li>All work products are considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the client agency </li> </ul><h3>Additional Information </h3><p>All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. </p><p>All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. </p> <p></p> #J-18808-Ljbffr
