Senior Business Analyst

<p></p><h3>Overview </h3> <p><b>Location: </b> Austin, Texas (Hybrid: 20% mandatory onsite, 80% optional remote) </p> <p><b>Job Description: </b> </p> <p>The Business Analyst will perform advanced business analysis and user experience design to deliver effective, user-focused solutions. This role ensures design decisions align with industry best practices, agency standards, and research-driven principles. Acting as the link between stakeholders and the development team, the Business Analyst will be engaged throughout the software development life cycle, from gathering requirements to post-implementation enhancements. </p> <h3>Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities </h3> <ul> <li><b>Analysis: </b> Lead the elicitation, documentation, and validation of business and technical requirements from stakeholder interviews </li> <li><b>Design: </b> Create wireframes, mockups, and user experience workflows that follow best practices and meet user needs </li> <li><b>Process Improvement: </b> Conduct business process re-engineering and recommend solutions to improve efficiency </li> <li><b>Development Support: </b> Assist in defining user stories and use cases that align with established analysis standards </li> <li><b>Lifecycle Management: </b> Oversee requirements through all stages of the software development life cycle, including post-implementation updates </li> <li><b>Collaboration: </b> Partner with product teams, stakeholders, and customers to align solutions with project goals </li> <li><b>Communication: </b> Facilitate discussions, lead meetings, and ensure clear, concise communication across teams </li> </ul> <h3>Minimum Qualifications (Required) </h3> <ul> <li><b>Requirements Gathering: </b> 8+ years eliciting requirements from customers and preparing detailed documentation </li> <li><b>SDLC: </b> 8+ years working through all phases of the software development life cycle </li> <li><b>Process Optimization: </b> 8+ years improving processes through business process re-engineering </li> <li><b>User Stories: </b> 8+ years creating user stories and use cases aligned with best practices </li> <li><b>UX Design: </b> 8+ years producing wireframes and mockups based on UX standards </li> <li><b>Facilitation: </b> 5+ years leading meetings, workshops, or collaborative sessions </li> <li><b>Writing: </b> 5+ years producing clear, organized, and well-structured documentation </li> </ul> <h3>Preferred Qualifications </h3> <ul> <li><b>Requirements Tools: </b> Experience with Modern Requirements software </li> <li><b>Tracking Tools: </b> Experience with Atlassian Jira </li> <li><b>Public Sector: </b> Experience working in or with a state or local education agency </li> <li><b>Programs: </b> Experience supporting Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) initiatives </li> </ul> <p></p> #J-18808-Ljbffr
