We work directly with 20+ municipalities and 50+ jurisdictions, operate highly regulated facilities in 10+ locations, and have 1,000+ employees.<br />We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Inventory Specialist to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our office at 651 Charles Street and limited job‑related travel may be required. </p> <p><b>Position Summary </b><br />The Inventory Specialist is responsible for keeping parts for the MRF in stock, labeled and organized. Works with the MRF GM and Mechanic Managers on what is vital for uptime. Keeps detailed spreadsheets and logs of current and pending inventory needs. Understands the site’s technology and helps with troubleshooting issues. </p> <h3>Essential Functions And Responsibilities </h3> <ul> <li>Maintains a catalog of all the parts for the entire site using CMMS software </li> <li>Works with vendors and the MRF managers to keep inventory current and available </li> <li>Understands which parts or items are the priority for optimal uptime </li> <li>Participates in meetings with Management teams to understand company needs </li> <li>Ability to work with minimal supervision </li> <li>Performs inspections and auditing of inventories </li> <li>Labels and organizes new parts/supplies as they come in </li> <li>Searches vendor sites and the internet for parts/supplies to keep MRF costs down </li> <li>Finds the best pricing for parts without compromising quality </li> <li>Meets with vendors, customers, and clients </li> <li>Reports stocked inventory and needs to MRF managers daily </li> <li>Creates Microsoft documents, tables, SharePoint and data analysis for review by the GM and Mechanic manager </li> <li>Assists in troubleshooting technical issues in the MRFs and the scale systems </li> <li>Has an understanding of scale systems and ability to fill in when required </li> <li>Performs other duties as needed </li> </ul> <h3>Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities </h3> <ul> <li>Ability to work well with other employees in a team environment </li> <li>Good communication with vendors and the management team </li> <li>Strong understanding of the company software and technology used </li> <li>Excellent Microsoft Office and computer knowledge </li> <li>Detail oriented and good time management </li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications </h3> <ul> <li>Possess and maintain a California class C license with an acceptable DMV record </li> <li>Excellent computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft suites </li> </ul> <h3>Language Skill </h3> <ul> <li>Proficiency in English and/or Spanish </li> </ul> <h3>Physical Demands </h3> <ul> <li>Ability to safely operate a company vehicle </li> <li>Ability to physically push, pull and lift objects up to 25 lbs. </li> <li>Frequent sitting at a computer for extended periods of time </li> <li>Walks the facility and climbs stairs in and out of the processing buildings </li> </ul> <h3>Work Environment </h3> <p>Typical work week is Monday through Friday, and some weekend work and overtime will be expected as needed. Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Generally, the candidate will be working at a computer desk but will need to drive to pick up parts, tour the facility or do other tasks as the company needs. </p> <h3>Compensation And Benefits </h3> <p>Financial compensation will be commensurate with applicable experience.
