Senior Developer

<p></p><p>Our oil and gas client seeking a Senior Software Developer with experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This role requires strong backend and frontend development skills, with a focus on data-driven applications that integrate spatial and operational data. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on developer who can collaborate across technical and business teams to deliver scalable, high‑quality solutions. </p> <h3>Key Responsibilities </h3> <ul> <li>Maintain applications that support GIS and midstream business processes </li> <li>Work with spatial and non-spatial data to build reliable, high-performance systems </li> <li>Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures, and data integrations </li> <li>Collaborate with GIS analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions </li> <li>Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design sessions </li> <li>Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and data issues </li> <li>Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in coding, testing, and documentation </li> </ul> <h3>Required Qualifications </h3> <ul> <li>5+ years of professional software development experience </li> <li>Experience with GIS technologies <b>or </b> midstream oil &amp; gas systems and workflows </li> <li>Strong experience with SQL Server </li> <li>Strong experience in <b>at least one </b> of the following languages: C#, Java, Python </li> </ul> <h3>Preferred Qualifications </h3> <ul> <li>Hands‑on experience with GIS platforms (e.g., Esri/ArcGIS, spatial databases, map services) </li> <li>Background in the midstream energy industry </li> </ul> <p></p> #J-18808-Ljbffr
