Product Designer, Visual Design

<p></p><p>We’re Klaviyo, empowering creators to own their destiny by making first-party data accessible and actionable. We need a Product Designer with a focus on the visual and aesthetic side to explore, co-create, and validate future concepts of Klaviyo’s Design Language. </p><p><b>About the role: </b> </p><p>We are searching for a curious and creative Product Designer to join us on an exciting journey. You'll work with a team of dedicated engineers, product designers, brand designers, and cross-functional partners to push Klaviyo’s user experience forward while adhering to the highest standards. </p><p><b>How you’ll make a difference: </b> </p><ul><li>Collaborate closely with product designers, engineers, brand designers, writers, and other stakeholders to set and uphold high standards for design </li><li>Design visual experiences that unify and exemplify the design language </li><li>Document, maintain, and evangelize the benefits of the Klaviyo Design System both internally and externally </li><li>Transform workflows by putting AI at the center, building smarter systems and ways of working from the ground up </li><li>Be the ambassador of the new design system and drive adoption by communicating strategy, plans, and milestones across the organization </li><li>Highlight opportunities to use the system through design critiques, spec reviews, and team meetings </li> </ul><p><b>What you’ll need: </b> </p><ul><li>Product design experience with an accompanying portfolio </li><li>Experience designing and building durable design systems at scale within a large product organization </li><li>Documentation of guidelines, standards, patterns, best practices, and understanding of WCAG standards </li><li>Ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces </li><li>Strong understanding of design principles and user experience best practices </li><li>Experience with AI in work or personal projects, and excitement to dive in and learn fast </li><li>Critical thinking and attention to detail when exploring solutions at a systematic level and a component level </li><li>Strong visual design sense and appreciation for getting the details right </li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers and designers to ship new features and components </li> </ul><p>Klaviyo is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
