Substation Designer

<p></p><p>Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consultant firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join our San Diego or Ontario, CA office as a <b>Substation Designer </b>. </p> <h3>Responsibilities </h3> <ul> <li>Perform substation electrical and physical design work for electrical substations ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV. </li> <li>Draft design documentation for assigned projects. </li> <li>Support other projects as required. </li> <li>Resolve AutoCAD software operating issues. </li> <li>Establish AutoCAD environments per client requirements. </li> </ul> <h3>Minimum Requirements </h3> <ul> <li>College degree or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design. </li> <li>Minimum of 15 years of computer-aided drafting and design experience. </li> <li>Advanced computer skills and expertise in AutoCAD; knowledge of MicroStation preferred. </li> <li>Effective verbal and written communication skills. </li> <li>Results-oriented, able to complete design assignments with minimal direction, capable of working effectively in team and client interactions. </li> <li>Strong work ethic with attention to detail, quality, schedule and budget. </li> <li>Occasional travel/driving may be required. </li> <li>Subject to ECI’s auto insurance carrier requirements. </li> <li>Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future. </li> </ul> <h3>Salary and Benefits </h3> <ul> <li>Salary commensurate with experience and education. </li> <li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance. </li> <li>Flexible spending account. </li> <li>Health savings account. </li> <li>Life insurance. </li> <li>Disability insurance. </li> <li>401(k), profit sharing, and employee stock ownership plan. </li> <li>Paid vacation, personal days, and holidays. </li> <li>Paid parental leave. </li> <li>Continued professional education reimbursement. </li> </ul> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer. </p> <p></p> #J-18808-Ljbffr
