Junior Software Developer

<p></p><p>OC Investment Management is a growing hedge fund seeking a Junior Software Developer to work with our portfolio managers and the broader team on a variety of development projects. Projects will focus on designing and implementing software solutions to optimize and streamline internal processes while supporting our operations and trading teams. </p> <h3>Overview </h3> <p>Junior Software Developer role focused on contributing meaningfully across all facets of the business and supporting the firm's growth and diversification. </p> <h3>Responsibilities </h3> <ul> <li>Collaborate with portfolio managers and the broader team on development projects. </li> <li>Design and implement software solutions to optimize internal processes and support operations and trading teams. </li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications </h3> <ul> <li>0-2 years of industry experience </li> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field </li> <li>Proficient programming skills in Python </li> <li>Strong eagerness to learn and grow </li> <li>Creative problem-solving skills </li> <li>A proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to dive into any project </li> <li>STEM academic background </li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team </li> <li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills </li> <li>Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas and translate them into clean, robust, and efficient code </li> <li>Basic IT knowledge (e.g., diagnosing internet and printer issues, understanding cybersecurity best practices) </li> <li>Willingness to work onsite in Miami, Florida </li> </ul> <h3>Nice To Have </h3> <ul> <li>Experience developing cloud-based software (AWS, Azure, GCP) </li> <li>Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker </li> <li>Familiarity with Git </li> <li>Understanding of financial terminology </li> </ul> <h3>Location </h3> <p>Based in Coconut Grove, Miami, FL.
