This is not a traditional software engineering role. We're looking for a <b>product engineer</b> who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys owning products from idea through production, and already relies on AI as a fundamental part of how they build software.</p><br /><p>The ideal candidate has spent time at startups or small, fast-moving engineering teams where ownership is broad, shipping is frequent, and engineers work closely with Product, Design, and AI teams. You'll be expected to move quickly, make thoughtful technical and product decisions, and help shape the future of AI-native software development.</p><br /><p>If AI has fundamentally changed the way you design, build, debug, and ship software, and you can clearly explain how, we'd love to hear from you.</p><br /><h3>Location:</h3><br /><p>San Francisco, CA or New York, NY (Hybrid, Tuesday-Thursday in office)</p><br /><h3>Employment Type:</h3><br /><p>Full-Time</p><br /><h3>Compensation:</h3><br /><p>$180,000 - $230,000 + Equity</p><br /><h3>Responsibilities</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Own products and major features from concept through production, iteration, and long-term ownership.</li><br /><li>Build polished customer-facing experiences using React and TypeScript.</li><br /><li>Design scalable backend systems using Python and PostgreSQL.</li><br /><li>Build AI-powered features using modern LLM technologies and AI workflows.</li><br /><li>Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Machine Learning Engineers.</li><br /><li>Make architecture decisions, write production-quality code, and improve existing systems.</li><br /><li>Ship quickly while maintaining a high quality bar.</li><br /><li>Use AI throughout the engineering lifecycle, including planning, architecture, coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and code review.</li><br /><li>Continuously improve engineering workflows by thoughtfully integrating AI into day-to-day development.</li><br /><li>Help shape how an AI-native engineering organization operates.</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Qualifications</h3><br /><h3>Required:</h3><br /><h3>Experience:</h3><br /><ul><br /><li><b>5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience</b> (professional experience only).</li><br /><li>Experience building and shipping <b>production software used by real customers.</b></li><br /><li>Experience owning products or major features from idea through production.</li><br /><li>Experience working in <b>startup or small, fast-moving engineering environments</b> where engineers own broad product areas.</li><br /><li>Experience working closely with Product, Design, or AI teams.</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Frontend</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Experience building polished, customer-facing user interfaces.</li><br /><li>Strong product sense and attention to user experience.</li><br /><li>Experience building production APIs and backend services.</li><br /><li>Strong SQL and PostgreSQL experience.</li><br /><li>Experience designing scalable backend systems.</li><br /></ul><br /><p>We're looking for engineers who already use AI as part of how they work.</p><br /><p>You should regularly use tools such as <b>Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, Codex, or similar</b> for:</p><br /><ul><br /><li>Planning</li><br /><li>Coding</li><br /><li>Testing</li><br /><li>Documentation</li></ul></div><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
