<div><h3>Overview</h3><br /><p>APR Consulting, Inc. has been engaged to identify a Billing Specialist. Location: San Diego, CA 92111. Position: Billing Specialist. Pay Rate: $30/hr. Duration: 16 weeks. Expected Shift: 40 hrs/week, 8am to 4:30pm, ONSITE.</p><br /><h3>Job Summary</h3><br /><p>Under the direction of PFS Leadership, the Reimbursement Specialist I is responsible for billing &amp; collections of outstanding account balances for commercial, government, &amp; managed care payors as assigned. The Reimbursement Specialist I is required to identify &amp; report payor issues to their leadership. It is a requirement for the Reimbursement Specialist I to read, interpret &amp; apply complex payor contract language to expected reimbursement calculations &amp; pursue all payments due to the organization. The Reimbursement Specialist I must perform account collection activities utilizing internet resources &amp; professional telephone communication etiquette. The Reimbursement Specialist I is required to compose professional written correspondence with all internal &amp; external entities.</p><br /><h3>Responsibilities</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Bill and collect outstanding balances from commercial, government, and managed care payors as assigned.</li><br /><li>Identify and report payor issues to leadership.</li><br /><li>Read, interpret, and apply complex payor contract language to determine expected reimbursement.</li><br /><li>Pursue all payments due to the organization.</li><br /><li>Perform account collection activities using internet resources and professional telephone etiquette.</li><br /><li>Compose professional written correspondence with internal and external entities.</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Requirements</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>H.S Diploma, GED or Equivalent</li><br /><li>2 Years of Experience as a Healthcare Reimbursement Specialist</li><br /><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook</li><br /><li>Ability to review denials/underpayments and determine corrective actions based on denial rationale and reason codes</li><br /><li>Medi-Cal Homecare billing</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Client &amp; Employment Details</h3><br /><p>Our client is one of the largest Healthcare Staffing Providers in the United States, to be assigned at one of their affiliated hospitals/healthcare facilities.</p><br /><p>This particular client requires all new hires to show proof of vaccination.
